Collaboration with

Harry Rex

Earlier in the year, I had the pleasure of working with Harry Rex, a local Austin clothing label working on a sophomore collection for the brand.  Amy met with me one afternoon for coffee to discuss creating fabrics and designs that not only would translate her vision for the collection, but call to her family's heritage across the pond in Great Britain, via her grandfather, the brand's namesake.  What emerged was a beautiful partnership, combining sexy with a little bit of punk, and creating prints that are truly unique to Austin's own Harry Rex.

Union Jill

One of my favorite designs I created with Amy was the Union Jill print, consisting of abstract allusions to London's past, with graffiti Union Jack flags, sketches of crowns, and monuments to victory.  Across broad swathes of the print, "Love" is sprayed, as if immediately before the wearer is to paint the town.

Sweet Me

A play on the works of Lewis Carroll, Sweet Me features a cascade of cool florals among some of Alice's more iconic accessories: a "Drink Me" bottle, an "Eat Me" confection, and the Mad Hatter's classic top hat.

Girl Boss Camouflage

The first print we developed was the Girl Boss Camo, in several different color ways.  We wanted a slick camouflage unique to the brand, peppered with a little bit of leopard print.  It's definitely one of our favorites.
